EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND. I received a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Seattle University. My Bachelor of Arts Degree is in Early Childhood Education from Central Washington University. I have taught elementary school and worked as a psychotherapist at Group Health Cooperative.
SPECIALIZATIONS: I have a general practice working with individuals, couples, children and families, with the following specialty areas:
TREATMENT. I practice a collaborative style of therapy where client and therapist agree to enter into treatment together. I was trained in existential/humanistic theory, which is client-centered, and am oriented in psychodynamic, Gestalt, interpersonal, developmental and solution focused approaches.
CONFIDENTIALITY. Information obtained during treatment is confidential (including information in a private discussion with a child) unless permission is obtained to share it with others, or in cases where I am required to report by law.
FEE. I have a set fee for the traditional 50-minute session. I have some insurance coverage which will be discussed with each client. It is customary to pay for services at the time they are delivered. Please give 24-hour notice for a cancellation or postponement of a session or payment will be due. I promise to provide a privileged and comfortable environment where clients will be safe from any verbal, emotional, physical or sexual abuse.
